How beeswax dinner candles are made?

All our candles are handmade in our apiary in Hertfordshire, UK. This particular sustainable dinner candle is made by using old technique of hand dipping. This is very time consuming process where wick is hand dipped in pool of beeswax. It takes anything up to 50 dips in order to have table candle ready. That way we make not only unique but also beeswax dripless candle.

What are advantages of hand-dipped candles?

Each candle is unique as beeswax settles at different pace and rate, each time we hand dip. Therefore, all candles will be similar in shape and size but each candle will be different in the same time. Hand dipped candles will burn smoothly and they are dripless (assuming kept in upright position). Hand dipped table candles will burn evenly and produce very bright light. Candles are eco friendly as well. We use only raw beeswax without any chemicals, colourants or additives.

Can you make custom sizes of dinner candles?
