Can I use beeswax in my own cosmetics?

Our beeswax is cosmetic grade. It is exactly the same beeswax we use for our own home made cosmetics. Our beeswax is made by bees. Unlike synthetic beeswax, it is pure and 100% natural product. We do not bleach our beeswax. Neither add any chemicals.

How big is beeswax bar?

Is it safe to use beeswax around children?

Beeswax is safe for use in different home applications around children. However in case of allergies, we do recommend to test it first in small batches in order to discover reaction of your allergic children.

Can I use cosmetic grade beeswax for my beeswax food wrap?

Yes, our beeswax if safe in contact with food. Since it is unbleached and contains no chemicals your food will be perfectly safe.

What are applications of cosmetic grade beeswax?

It is a cosmetic grade beeswax and has a wide range of application in and around house. From making your own cosmetics to weatherproofing to candle making. In short beeswax can be used as lubricant, waterproofing your clothes and shoes, moisturiser in all sorts of creams, lotion and cosmetics, furniture polish, preserving food from spoiling, making crayon, making rich moisturising soap, air purifier and wood filler. However, the list of applications can go much longer than that.

Is beeswax natural?

Yes, our beeswax is a natural product of bees. It is raw and pure. Therefore colour may vary. Beeswax is extracted from different parts of a hive and will have different shades of golden yellow colour. From dark brown to pale yellow.

How to find out whether beeswax is raw and natural or synthetic?

Natural beeswax will have properties that synthetic beeswax will lack. First property is natural beeswax is blooming. If you leave beeswax untouched, it will cover with white film – will bloom. Natural oils present in raw beeswax will start emerging and sitting on the surface of the beeswax. Secondly, melting point of natural beeswax is min 65C. Anything less than that and it’s a mixture of waxes, not a pure beeswax. And lastly, if your beeswax if constantly of the same colour and scent, it’s highly likely it was processed one way or the other. Natural beeswax will vary in colour and scent as they both depends on foraging nectar, plants and part of hive beeswax was extracted from.
