Who We Are?
Five Bees Yard is a family project that connects people with a piece of nature. We are 3rd generation of beekeepers taking pride in keeping things as simple as possible and as close to nature as we can. We currently have 3 apiaries where we keep bees using generations of experience and apply exactly the same methods as our grandparents did. Beekeeping is part of our DNA and our children do follow our steps. It gives us a great teaching opportunity as well as brings us together. Overall Five Bees Yard is very family focused project. All we do is with family, nature and being close to our roots in focus. We use only natural beeswax with great understanding of bees’ needs. We do not add any chemicals nor bleachers. You get what bees produced.
Are Your Products Natural?
100%. No additives, no bleaching, no chemicals. Just what bees managed to produce.
Is Your Beeswax Natural?
Yes. As opposed to synthetic beeswax, our beeswax is 100% pure and natural. It will bloom (white cover emerging on a surface of beeswax) means natural oils are moving to the surface of beeswax. Also its colour and scent will vary. Like everything in nature, only natural product will vary from one batch to another.
Why Are Beeswax Candles Superior to Other Types of Candles?
There are lots of scientific articles and practitioners all saying the same thing - only beeswax is the natural and healthy option among all types of wax. Pure and natural beeswax burns cleanly, producing less soot and lasting longer. Beeswax candles emit negative ions cleaning and improving quality of air. Lots of people saying that after they switch to beeswax candles their allergy symptoms relieved or disappeared. Beeswax candles are believed to be a good antidepressant as it produces a light very similar to the one sun emits - bright and yellow. And for those of us who are environment conscious and friendly, there is an argument of sustainability of beeswax. Produced by bees in the process of nectar collection, beeswax does not require human intervention (like deforestation for soy plants) neither is made in laboratories. We extract only what bees made and in quantities bees allow us to extract.

Yes, all our candles are hand made by us in our apiary in Hertfordshire, UK

What Shipping Methods Are Available?

We operate fair shipping costs policy. It means we charge only what courier charges us. And we always search the market for the cheapest delivery option available for particular parcel.

How Long Will It Take To Get My Package?
- Standard domestic shipping takes 3 days. - Standard Europe takes 5-7 business days but you can shorten this period to 1-3 business days with express delivery. - Standard America delivery takes 7-10 business days and 1-3 days with upgrade to international fast delivery. - Any other destinations - delivery takes 10 business days + with upgrade to 2-5 days for express shipping.

How do I place an Order?
Add to the basket items you like, quantities you need and chose any personalisation required. Once ready to place the order, go to the checkout fill in your details and hit - "Place the Order". If you have any issues or questions, you can always contact us and we'll be happy to talk you through.
How Can I Cancel Or Change My Order?
To change your order simply get in touch with us. As long as the order is still with us, we can make those changes. But once order has been dispatched we’ll not be able to amend the orders. To cancel the order please let us know asap. Once dispatched you will have to return the order in good shape to obtain a full refund. We cannot accept cancellation or changes to customised orders as well as perishable/food grade orders )ie honey. Thank you for your understanding.
Do I need an account to place an order?
Yes. We treat all our customers with great attention and require to put the same trust in us. Having account allows us know each other in a better way. It is a quick and convenient way of future reordering as well. Having account allows you to track your parcel and for us to manage your order efficiently. How Can I Return a Product?
Send it back within 30 days from receiving it to 19 Ebury Road, Watford,WD17 2RE, UK Please let us know by email you are sending something back so we can keep an eye on it. Please note we cannot accept returns for honey and customised items. Thank you for your understanding.
